Musky Mania 65, October 2020
Musky Mania 65 is in the books with thirteen persons participating to the outing. Water temperature was at 55 degrees. Beautiful fall colors. The weather was great except for the wind. Fishing was slow but Mr. Musky did not win. We had fun and "true" fishing stories to tell.

Musky Mania 65 Winner
Here it is Sunday and 12:28 pm and no fish registered. Oh no, not Mr. Musky winning!
Then, Scott Rudoph registers a 39½" Musky caught Saturday on Tenderfoot on a 10" Phantom bait. |
It was not a cheap fish as he tore off his lower unit going into Tenderfoot. He went to Menards on Sunday and bought a magnet to try and find the lower unit with his stainless-steel prop on it. He finally located the lower unit and had to dive down in 5' of water to get it.
No other fish were caught, and the 2nd or 3rd place winner prizes went back in the kitty. Everyone won a door prize and a hat. David Koenig won the main raffle prize, a custom-made St. Croix musky rod by Musky Pete. Two hours after Musky Mania ended, David caught a 45" musky on his new rod on Long lake.
MM66 is tentatively planned for early June, the exact dates to be confirmed later. Thanks to those to participated as we look forward to Musky Mania 66.
