Tournament Winners

Another Musky Mania is in the books, with MM45 coming to a close with some real quality fish caught and the majority of them coming from North and South Twin.
The Friday night cookout kicked off the weekend with a break in the weather at just the right time and a chance to spend some great time with many of the folks. The MM45 commemorative T shirts were a nice touch for our 45th outing, plans for another commemorative item are being considered for MM50. The Saturday cookout went well, along with some super raffle and door prizes and a great picture taken of the group in front of the lodge to commemorate MM45. Saturday morning saw fishing action a little slow, but with Gary Winter's 39 ½ incher boated Mr. Musky was not going to win and expectations for afternoon action was high. Action in the afternoon did not fail us with some very quality fish boated and others seen. Gary Winters boated a beautiful 48 ½ incher guided by Musky Pete, great guiding job, at least Musky Pete knows where the big girls are for Monday night fishing league. |
At the end of the day Saturday, 7 fish had been boated with all but one coming from North and South Twin. John Reynders boated a nice 47 incher and his partner Mike Reiter landed a 40 incher, great job guys. Gordie Shaw ended the afternoon with a beautiful 46 ½ incher, some real quality fish for MM45. Bucktails seemed to be the hot lure with 7 of the 9 fish caught on bucktail type lures.
Sundays fishing action was a bit slower with only two fish caught with Dave Nickel boating a dandy 41 ¼ inch tiger. Fishing ended at 11:30 on Sunday with a total of nine fish caught; with Gary Winters taking first place with a 48 ½ incher, John Reynders second with a 47, and Gordie Shaw third with a 46 ½.
Thanks again to all our sponsors and especially to Marti and Jen for the great accommodations and hospitality. Thanks to all for attending and making Musky Mania a great outing and good luck chasing Mr. Musky for the rest of the season. MM46 is slated for October 9th and 10th at North Twin Lodge.
