Musky Mania 27, June 2001
Tournament Winners
|
MM27 is in the books and Gordie Shaw captured 1st place with a 39" fish caught on Sunday from an unknown lake.
Tom Killian also caught a 32" and 24" fish. Dave Justmann caught a couple 28"ers and Bruce Siebers caught a 25.5" fish. Smallest Musky award goes to John McMahon with a 23"er unless there was a smaller one that no slip was turned in for. The weather was really bad as it rained most of the weekend and the wind was "brisk" at times. Hot coffee was the only beverage consumed in most boats. 24 people fished and a total of 12 fish were caught. Winners of the Frabill nets were Jim Laszewski and Bill Justmann (Dave's son). Musky Pete's Story
Musky Pete tells Jim Laszewski that the winning fish from MM26 came out of Plum Jr. so Jim thinks he knows where that is. He goes to West Plum and finds out it is only 4’ deep and full of weeds. Can hardly get around with a trolling motor. He also talked someone else to follow him as he was sure he had Musky Pete’s secret lake figured out. Ha, ha Jimmy. |
