Joe DeCoursin wins Musky Mania 16 with a 35 ½" fish

Musky Mania 16 was held out of Eagle Waters resort on the Eagle Chain on June 10th and 11th, 1995. One of the largest groups for a Musky Mania outing all vying for the prestigious 1st place honor. Most people stay at the Eagle Waters Lodge on Eagle Lake.
Friday night kicked off with a presentation from local area guide Yukon Jack, everyone had a lot of good questions, even Jim Laszewski, at least we think they were questions!! A total of 8 fish were boated with the team of Joe DeCoursin and Dan Wohlleber dominating the outing. |
First place went to Joe DeCoursin 35.5” on a sucker on Eagle Lake, 2nd place Dan Wohlleber 33.5”, and 3rd place Tom Kolb 32.5” on a small jerk bait on Cranberry.
Dan Wohlleber also boated a 33” on a Live Action Lure on Eagle Lake and 32” and 28” on Crank baits also on Eagle. Dave Justmann boated a 20.5” on a Mepps Musky Killer on Nipsey lake and Bill Rohrer landed a 18” on a Rapala on Eagle to win the coveted “Smallest” musky award. The award for the “Ugliest Bait” went to Drew Long.
